🎟 Community Events & Festival Radar

Big Rig Day at Brandenburg Park. All the big trucks up close, including the Medstar helicopter and a Phillips Sign & Lighting bucket truck. If you've got a kid who points at every piece of heavy equipment on the road, this is their day.

Soggy Dog Day at Walter & Mary Burke Beach. Close out the summer with your pup at the fenced-in beach, where dogs can run, splash, and meet a whole lot of new friends.

New Baltimore Farmers Market. Two themed Sundays coming up. September 13 is Kids & Family Day and Grandparents Day, and September 20 is the Dahlia Challenge judging.

Kids Night at Chick-fil-A. Kids eat free and there's always something going on.

Anchor Bay CountryFest featuring Uncle Kracker. Two nights of country music on the New Baltimore waterfront, with Uncle Kracker headlining Saturday.

Haunted History Walk. The New Baltimore Historical Society takes you out after dark for the stories the daytime tour leaves out. Starts at the Grand Pacific House Museum. This event is not recommended for children.

🚗 Worth the Drive

Richmond Good Old Days. Running right now through Sunday. The Skerbeck carnival is open, fireworks go up Saturday at 9:30, and the Great Michigan Parade closes it out Sunday. Businesses around town hand out $5 off coupons you can redeem at the ticket boxes.

Dewayne T. Williams Memorial Ceremony. The American Legion honors St. Clair's Medal of Honor recipient. A quiet, worthwhile hour if you've got the morning free.

Fun & Fabulous Fundraiser. A veterans benefit in Casco with a tribute concert, Donny Rod performing as Rod Stewart and Dan Spencer as Toby Keith. Proceeds go to Veterans Honor Flight and Wreaths Across America. They're still taking vendors if you run a local business, though space is limited.

String Quartet from the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. A DSO quartet plays the Boardwalk Theatre in downtown St. Clair on a Sunday afternoon.

📍 Local Civic & Roadwork Updates

Jefferson Avenue closing next week. Jefferson will be closed to through traffic between 21 Mile and Cotton Road from Monday, September 14 through Friday, September 18 for bridge maintenance. Access to businesses and properties stays open throughout. Dates are estimated and weather can push them.

Last call on the 2027 Master Plan survey. Responses close September 15. It's a quick one, and it helps decide what gets built where.

🏪 Around Town

Witch Walk cauldrons are on sale now. The commemorative cauldron unlocks the discounts at participating businesses for the Witch Walk & Warlock Stroll, and it's cheaper now than at the door.
