Jefferson Avenue Pathway nearing completion: Most of the pathway construction is finished, with remaining work wrapping up this week. A final walkthrough is scheduled for next week, and the pathway is expected to officially open on August 7. Thanks to everyone for their patience during construction.

EB M-29 ramp to EB I-94 closed: The ramp closed at 6:00 AM on Friday, July 24 and will remain closed through late August. The posted detour runs SB M-3/Gratiot to EB 21 Mile to EB I-94. Drivers should expect delays and consider alternate routes. Project details are available at MovingMacomb.org.

Early Voting is open: Qualified electors can vote early now through August 2, 2026, at the Chesterfield Township Municipal Offices, 47275 Sugarbush Road, from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM daily. Note that the Community Center is not an early voting location.

Bay Area Sports Show & Fishing Tournament: The 7th Annual event returns with great food, a garage sale, New Baltimore's only food truck rally, a fishing tournament, and free live music from BandWagon. Fish harvested from the tournament will be donated to Vets Returning Home to support local veterans.

Rain barrel program: In honor of National Rain Day, residents are encouraged to consider installing a rain barrel to conserve water and reduce stormwater runoff into Lake St. Clair. Learn more through Friends of the St. Clair River and the Clinton River Watershed Council.

Monarch Meadows Nature Preserve: Chesterfield Township, in partnership with Six Rivers Land Conservancy, continues restoring this natural area as habitat for monarch butterflies, pollinators, and native wildlife.
